SESE interactive launched
- Published: 13 May 2009
Award-winning IPPN technologist Seaghan Moriarty launched the new software program, SESE Interactive in Galway Education Centre on 23rd April last.
Before the launch, Seaghan was interviewed by Galway Bay FM news and spoke about the difference that SESE Interactive will make in enhancing the learning environment for teaching history, geography and science in primary schools across Ireland.
The launch was attended my numerous teachers from the greater Galway area. During his presentation, Seaghan demonstrated a range of the games and activities from SESE Interactive and illustrated the benefits the individual modules will make in teaching the SESE curriculum.
SESE Interactive has already received a very favourable reaction from schools that have tried out the program. It has been produced for Irish primary children in 3rd to 6th classes to make it easy and exciting for primary teachers to combine the teaching of history, geography and science, so that each complements the other perfectly.
"SESE Interactive has some great activities and I really like the bright colours. I tried out almost all of the 34 games and it will be a great resource for the classroom. I can see how almost all of these activities would work on a stand-alone computer or even an interactive whiteboard. My class was able to learn the geography of Ireland, learn all about historical figures and perform science experiments using this software. It's great to see well-produced Irish software in our schools."
Simon Lewis, Principal, Carlow Educate Together N.S., Carlow.
