Making the Recruitment Process Easier to Manage

There is little doubt that recruitment is one of the most important tasks in terms of ensuring high quality teaching & learning and a positive school culture. However, it is a labour intensive process.

The Sustainable Leadership report identified 20 discrete actions that were required as part of the recruitment process, most of which land on the desk of the school leader. Mindful of this reality, and to make the management of the recruitment process easier, IPPN developed its online recruitment portal as part of the Educationposts.ie platform. The cost to the school remains the same but, by using the portal, you have access to significant additional functionality. All of the following can be done through the portal:

  • manage all applications
  • manage all communication with applicants
  • schedule shortlisting meetings
  • share applications with the selection committee
  • schedule interviews
  • manage post-interview communication
  • generate audit trail to confirm actions
  • retain and delete data in response to prompts from the system.

You can still use the EducationPosts website to place ads, as you have always done, but we would strongly encourage you to consider using the portal, as it will make the management of recruitment immeasurably easier.
