Associate Membership
Associate Membership of IPPN
Associate membership of IPPN is available to the following categories of Principal and others as outlined below:
- Retired Principals
- Seconded Principals
- International Principals
- Other
A register of Associate Members will be kept by the National Director. Different membership fee rates apply to the different categories of Associate Membership. These are outlined on the Application Form.
Retired Principals
Associate membership is open to all former Principals and Deputy Principals of primary schools who have retired. The annual subscription for Retired Associate members is 25% of the membership fee of full members and is payable in one payment each year. Retired Associate Members are afforded opportunities to report to the Annual General Meeting of IPPN and to make submissions to the National Executive. They have access to all resources on IPPN's website, the mailing lists and professional development events and most publications.
Seconded Principals
Principals of primary schools who are seconded to other posts, for example to posts within SDPS, LDS or PCSP, may also avail of Associate Membership of IPPN. Seconded Principals can access most resources on the IPPN website, can attend professional development events and receive most IPPN publications. They do not have access to IPPN mailing lists. International Principals
Associate membership is available to Principals from other jurisdictions. Typically this is of interest to those who are members of affiliated Principals' Associations through the International Confederation of Principals (ICP), of which IPPN is an active member. International Principals can access most resources on the IPPN website, can attend professional development events and receive most IPPN publications. They do not have access to IPPN mailing lists.For more information on applying please email the IPPN Support Office.
