IPPN Conference 2009

Believe it or not, plans for Conference 2009 are already well underway. Our two last conferences were in Killarney. We are fully aware that Killarney is an extremely long distance for Principals in the Northern half of the country wishing to attend Conference. All things being equal we would really like to hold Conference 2009 someplace in the Midlands, the West of the Northwest. In choosing a conference location, we have to make sure that the venue can adequately cater for the following criteria:

1. Expected attendance of 850 - 900. The number of Principals attending continues to grow steadily each year, regardless of location.

2. Conference Hall / Auditorium capacity for 950 - 1000 to include guests and others.

3. A minimum of 12 - 15 separate Workshop Rooms with a combined capacity of 850

4. Restaurant capacity to provide lunch for 950 - 1000

5. Banquet Hall to provide Gala Dinner for 950 - 1000 with entertainment facilities

6. Enough space for 80 - 100 Trade Exhibit Stands

7. Sufficient accommodation for all attendees within a reasonable distance

Having carried out an exhaustive search of hotel and conference venues throughout the country, the Irish National Events Centre (INEC) at the Gleneagle & Brehon Hotel complex in Killarney, remains the best option for Conference 2009.

There are a number of new conference facilities being built in Ireland which will hopefully expand the number of options available in future years. Meanwhile, please note the following dates for your 2009 diary:

IPPN Conference 2009 - Thursday, January 29th - Saturday, January 31st - INEC, Killarney

GLENEAGLE RIVERSIDE APARTMENTS:

€220.00 per night 1- 4 pax
