Our Deputy Principals’ Conference will be held at Citywest Hotel & Convention Centre, Dublin from 5.00pm Thursday 19th to 3.30pm Friday 20th May. The DES has granted substitute cover for Deputy Principals on Friday 20th May. Full details including speaker list will be published on www.ippn.ie shortly.

National Children’s Strategy (2012 – 2017) – Monday 4th April – Friday 8th April
The new Minister for Children, Frances Fitzgerald TD has initiated work on the development of a new national children’s strategy. The strategy will examine issues of importance to children and young people. The survey and guidelines on completion for teachers will be distributed to schools week commencing 28th March. Children are invited to complete the questionnaire in schools from 4th April – 8th April. All data collected will be analysed by a consultation team at Trinity College, Dublin and fed into the development of the new National Children’s Strategy. A report of the children’s consultation process will be published online later this year.
