TextaSub – 1,112 Substitute Teachers Available
TextaSub, IPPNs free service for contacting subs in your county, currently has over 1,112 fully qualified, Teaching Council registered primary teachers available for work throughout Ireland. The delay imposed on schools in recruiting posts for the 2011/2012 school year has resulted in an increased need for subs during the month of September. Circular 31/2011 recommends TextaSub as a preferred method of sourcing substitute teachers.

Primary schools with at least 400 pupils enrolled on 30 September 2010 and have AP vacancies, will be eligible to be considered for some limited alleviation. If your school meets this criterion, please complete Appendix 1 of Circular 0053/2011 and return to the DES by Tuesday 20 September 2011.
