E-scéal 323 - Increase School Funding

We made a submission to government on the level of funding for primary schools on Tuesday 13th November. To strengthen our position, we require supporting data in the form of real school account bottom-line figures.  We reassure you that the identity of both you and your school will remain anonymous.

Conscious of your workload, we do not wish for you to feel obliged to contribute to our survey.  If you do not have the time, it is fully understandable.

Please explain to your BoM Treasurer, the purpose of this research i.e. putting our case to government to properly fund primary education.  The information that we need is:

• Current account bank balance amount at the end of the school financial year.  The closing balance for the last 3 financial years would be needed to compare like-with-like. Please ask your treasurer for these figures before linking through to the survey
• We do not want a copy of your bank statements
• We do not want details of any other fundraised accounts
• Once you have the information from your treasurer, the survey should take no more than one minute to complete.

All data returned will assist us in providing a true picture of the current level of underfunding in which schools find themselves.

This is just one of a number of surveys that you have been asked to complete recently.  This survey is intended to be succinct with a clear focus.
