Conference 2013 – Register now and send payment after the holidays
If you have not already done so, we recommend that you register for Conference 2013 at your earliest convenience.  Some of the more popular seminars have started to book out, but there is still an excellent choice of topics to choose from.  Registration takes just a few minutes and, if you cannot arrange payment before the holidays, payment can be sent in January.

EducationPosts.ie – Christmas arrangements for advert activations
There will be a change to advert activations on EducationPosts.ie during the Christmas holidays.  All adverts posted between 21st December and 1st January will be activated on 2nd January.   

From 2nd January normal activation times will resume, adverts will be activated every 3-4 hours during office hours (9.00am – 5.00pm, Monday to Friday).  Adverts uploaded to the website after 5.00pm on Friday or anytime on Saturday and Sunday will be activated the following Monday.

Thesis research – online survey of principals on ICT in primary education
Kenneth Kerins, a mainstream class teacher (with responsibility for ICT) in St. Pius X BNS, Terenure, Dublin, is completing a Masters in Teaching and Learning. His thesis is entitled ‘In an evolving landscape, how are principals’ managing ICT in Irish primary schools?

Kenneth is conducting an online survey as well as semi structured interviews and focus groups with current Irish primary school principals. The main aspects of the study relates to the following: How Irish primary schools include the use of ICT, the adoption of ICT as pedagogy and the vision for ICT.
