E-scéal 328 - Nollaig Shona

Ar son Líonra Phríomhoidí Bunscoile Éireann, gabhaimid Beannachtaí na Féile ort um Nollag.

As yet another challenging term comes to an end; we would like to acknowledge the positive leadership that our school leaders have given in their school communities. Leadership is vital in difficult times.

The recent tragic events in Sandy Hook School, Connecticut, were profoundly disturbing – an assault on what should be a safe place for children. It was noticeable that Barrack Obama singled Dawn Hochsprung, school leader of Sandy Hook School, who made the ultimate sacrifice in her effort to protect the children in her care. Thankfully, our primary schools continue to be safe havens for our children and long may this continue.

We wish to thank many members for their messages of appreciation of the work that is done voluntarily by principals on the Local, National and Executive Committees, and by the IPPN Support Office on everyone’s behalf.

Meanwhile, we hope that you will take a complete break from work for the next two weeks so that you can relax and immerse yourself in all that is positive with family and friends.

This year, instead of sending Christmas cards, IPPN has made donations to Barnardos, Trócaire & Bóthar on your behalf.  May 2013 bring you good health, happiness and success in all that you do.

Nollaig Shona agus Ath-bhliain faoi mhaise dhuit.
