Leadership+ Issue 129 - Global Citizenship Education
Global Village is a new Global Citizenship Education (GCE) programme for primary schools in Ireland. It aims to support primary school pupils to become active global citizens, committed to building a fairer and more sustainable world. It began as a pilot project, with a focus on research, learning and establishing connections with key stakeholders in the GCE and Primary Education sectors.

Oide Leadership Bespoke Mentoring
Oide Leadership has worked closely with IPPN and NAPD to develop this bespoke mentoring support for principals at all stages of leadership. Principals who find themselves in need of extra support can contact Oide directly.
Bespoke Mentors are experienced and recently retired school leaders who have completed bespoke coaching and mentoring training, including supervision of reflective practice. An initial exploratory session is followed by three one-to-one 90-minute meetings. Further sessions may be available if needed.

NPC - Supporting Parents to support their Children's Mental Health and Wellbeing
National Parents Council, in conjunction with St. Patrick's Mental Health Services, is hosting free online sessions from 23rd to 27th October 2023. Parents who attend this online session will learn:

  • how to build and nurture resilience within their child
  • how to support their child’s positive mental health and wellbeing.

Sessions will take place online via Zoom at the following dates and times:

  • 10am and 7:30pm on 23rd, 24th, 25th and 26th October
  • 10am on Friday 27th October
