Your first IPPN County Network Meeting will take place soon.  As it will address issues of current interest and will provide support and information for principals it would be important to try to attend.  Full list of dates etc available on IPPN website under the ‘Events’ heading, ‘Event Listing’

Date & Agenda for first BoM Meeting

Meet with Chairperson to arrange agenda for first meeting. Has Treasurer access to bank statements/cheque books for his/her report?

If it has not already been decided, clarify who will send notification of BoM meetings. Any issues in relation to the keeping of BoM minutes should also be clarified.

Have you decided what format your Principal’s Report will take? Have you looked at the IPPN Template or have you devised your own system? Have you read the minutes of the last BOM Meeting?

Meeting with ISM Team

Have you looked at the minutes of the last ISM Team meeting? Set out dates /times for meetings for the first term. What are the priority areas the team need to address? When were  post duties last reviewed? Who will be delegated to record minutes for the first school term? Decide on time for weekly meeting with DP to discuss priorities.

Agree fundraising calendar with PA for BoM approval

Have you met with Chairperson of PA to arrange first meeting of the new school year? Have you a wish list of school needs which can be discussed with PA? What fundraising ventures are appropriate? Does PA understand that these ventures must be approved by BOM and funds must be spent as approved? Has the PA been supplied with a copy of Supporting Each Other – NPC/IPPN joint publication?
