E-scéal 530 - FSSU – Revised Salary Rates for Staff

DES Circular 57/2018 comes into effect on 1 October 2018. Annualised salaries are to be increased by 1% for some personnel directly employed by the Board of Management. These include:
- Secretaries and Caretakers who are currently paid on a salary scale equivalent to a public services salary scale
- Cleaners
- Other privately paid staff e.g. bus escorts.
This increase does not relate to school secretaries and caretakers paid on an hourly rate.
