Students in Direct Provision

The DES has confirmed that they are engaging with Tusla and the Department of Justice and Equality to ensure that pupils in direct provision are being supported during schools closures. School leaders who have an education-related query and want to establish contact with a specific pupil in direct provision can email ipasinbox@justice.ie.
The DES has advised that a specific email format be used and the following information provided:

Subject Line: Education

Body of Email:

  • Include that you have an education-related query regarding a child of school-going age
  • Include name and location of accommodation centre where the pupil is residing
  • Do not include details of the parent or child
  • Include your full name and contact number to receive a follow-up call regarding your query.
