An update on the work of CSL

The Centre for School Leadership (CSL) Mentoring Programme is progressing very well with 150 primary and 68 post-primary schools signed up for the training. The primary principals are in the Leinster area only. It is hoped that principals in other areas will have access to the programme in the next school year. CSL and Professional Development Service for Teachers (PDST) are working together to include mentoring in the Misneach Programme.
The CSL team are currently involved in the tender process for a coaching service for a limited number of principals which will be available countrywide from September 2016.
The third level ‘Aspiring Leaders Programme’ is also going to tender. This new course will begin in 2017. Toraíocht will continue as usual next September.
