Do you need a substitute teacher in your school? Do you use IPPN’s TextaSub facility?
There are currently 416 fully qualified substitute teachers available through TextaSub. As teachers can register for up to two counties at a time, there are currently 735 subscriptions – between 4 and 98 in every county.
TextaSub is an online service that enables members to send free text alerts to primary-qualified teachers who are available for subbing work in the relevant county. Teachers register for this service through www.EducationPosts.ie. They are required to supply a valid Teaching Council number which is verified during the registration process. Substitute teachers have to activate their TextaSub subscription every 7 days to continue receiving alerts should they be available for sub work.
