Does a Teacher(s) have GCVU Vetting Letter?

During January and February, the Teaching Council will contact teachers whose membership is due for renewal in May and June 2019, advising them to re-apply for a New National Vetting Bureau (NVB) disclosure via the online system. This applies to the cohort of teachers who hold a Central Garda Vetting Unit (GCVU) vetting letter.

Teachers who receive re-vetting notices are advised to complete the vetting application process within the required timeframe. Failure to do so, could result in a teacher’s membership lapsing and salary from the DES being withheld.

Registered teachers can check their vetting status by logging on to the 'My Registration' section of the Teaching Council website.
