Applications for Teacher Career Break and Job-Sharing (DE Circular 54/2019)

The deadline for receipt of applications for career break and job-sharing is approaching
Such applications must be submitted to the Board of Management by 1st February
The Board must consider all such applications and revert with a decision in writing to the applicant, (including the basis for refusal, where applicable) by 1st March
The Board should make decisions on such applications in accordance with the school’s Career Break and Job-Sharing policies.
If issues arise for Boards in this regard, guidance should be sought from the relevant management body.
