Applications for Teacher Career Break and Job-Sharing (DE Circular 54/2019)

- The deadline for receipt of applications for career break and job-sharing is approaching
- Such applications must be submitted to the Board of Management by 1st February
- The Board must consider all such applications and revert with a decision in writing to the applicant, (including the basis for refusal, where applicable) by 1st March
- The Board should make decisions on such applications in accordance with the school’s Career Break and Job-Sharing policies.
- If issues arise for Boards in this regard, guidance should be sought from the relevant management body.
