Fury as children return to their old prefabs [Independent.ie]

FURIOUS parents have vowed to wage a protest campaign as their children returned to run-down prefabs today.
There is mounting anger at Scoil Bride, Rathcormac, Co Cork, as the school is now catering for 400pc more students than its original design capacity. Enrolments at the 61-year-old school jumped during the boom years when five separate housing estates were under construction at one time.
When it first opened, the school catered for 60 students but 230 pupils started the 2009/2010 school year this morning. Children returned to school this morning in 10 portacabins despite being promised a new building several years ago.
