'Assistant' role gives new hope to dole teachers [Herald.ie]

Education Minister Batt O'Keeffe is to consider a scheme of work placement for newly qualified teachers who can't find employment.
The idea, proposed by Labour, would arrange for jobless graduates to work in classrooms alongside colleagues who have full-time employment.
