Proposed changes to class sizes sparks anger in special needs organisations

THE proposed changes to the student/teacher ratio, which would mean larger classroom sizes in primary and secondary schools, has sparked an angry response from different Laois special needs organisations.

The Department of Education has indicated to government that increasing the number of children in a classroom is the most effective means of achieving sizeable savings in the education budget.
