Ex-principal in fraud probe [belfasttelegraph.co.uk]

A former Northern Ireland primary school principal has been arrested on suspicion of alleged fraud.

Stanley Poots (67), who was the head of Dromara Primary School until this year, was quizzed by police last Thursday.

It is understood the ongoing investigation relates to alleged financial irregularities at the school where he worked for 41 years.

A PSNI spokesman said: “Police can confirm that a 67-year-old man was arrested in the Dromara area on Thursday, November 3 on suspicion of fraud offences. He was released on police bail pending further enquiries.”
