Lise Hand: Big chill moves in as sniping is back on the agenda [Independent.ie]

IT was bitterly cold yesterday in Limavady anyway, but around lunchtime the temperature plummeted to positively icy.

And the big chill caught everyone on the hop, as there had been no obvious signs of dark clouds on the horizon. And it left the Taoiseach trying to diplomatically ignore the sudden deep freeze between the North's first and deputy ministers.

And there was Brian Cowen thinking that there's nothing like a day-trip out of the Big Smoke. Sure it's a chance to get away from the hand-to-hand combat in the Dail, the foot-in-mouth carry-on of Potty-Mouth Paul Gogarty, and the fist-waving fury of trade union heads.
