Join us for an exciting NEW workshop delivered at local level throughout 2025. The event will provide you with the opportunity to engage with our latest resources, which have been designed and developed to support and enhance your leadership effectiveness.

- Expanding the Support Group Network.
As promised in Autumn 2024, Pairic Clerkin, IPPN CEO and Louise Tobin, IPPN President will visit each county to deliver this session.
Aim
The aim of the session is to assist you in your role as school leader:
- to reflect on the practice of leadership in your school and how it might be more effectively shared, using the Leadership Reflection Tool
- to consider the different aspects of leading teaching and learning, using the Guide to the Leadership of Teaching and Learning
- to manage capacity and workload
- to control the number of new initiatives or priorities taken on in any given year.
Support Groups
More than 700 principals and deputy principals have expressed an interest in joining a support group. The expansion of our Support Group network is a key objective of our visits to each county.

Join us for the IPPN Deputy Principals' Conference 2025 at the Galway Bay Hotel as we mark a special milestone: 25 years of empowering and supporting our members. This conference will not only focus on Empowering Effective Teaching & Learning but will also celebrate the incredible community we’ve built together over the past quarter-century.

Points to note:
- The revised procedures apply to all schools and will come into effect from the start of the 2025/2026 school year
- The BOM must develop its Bí Cineálta policy during the course of the 2024/2025 school year and adopt it prior to the of the 2025/2026 school year.
- Key areas of change from the 2013 Anti-bullying Procedures are outlined in Appendix G of the Bí Cineálta Procedures.
- Templates are provided for
- the school’s Bí Cineálta policy (Appendix A)
- a student-friendly version of the policy (Appendix B)
- Support for the rollout and implementation of the procedures will include
- in-person professional learning events for two nominated staff members
- information seminars for Boards of Management and parents
- half-day school closures to facilitate staff engagement with the procedures
