Substitute cover has been granted by the Department of Education (May 20th) for all Deputy Principals attending IPPNs’ Annual Deputy Principals' Conference. The conference will take place on May 19th (Registration from 3.30pm) & 20th at Citywest Hotel, Dublin. This year’s theme, Leading Learning – It’s more than sums and spellings, will provide a range of opportunities for Deputy Principals to attend interactive plenary sessions and high quality worksFollowing a very positive reaction to his address at our Principals’ conference in January; Finnish Education Improvement Activist, Dr Pasi Sahlberg will return to Ireland to address Deputy Principals on Friday morning.

Our Deputy Principals’ Conference will be held at Citywest Hotel & Convention Centre, Dublin from 5.00pm Thursday 19th to 3.30pm Friday 20th May. One wish for New Minister for Education & Skills
We would like to congratulate Mr Ruairí Quinn TD on his appointment as our new Minister for Education and Skills. Minister Quinn has attended our last three annual Principals’ Conferences and has demonstrated a keen willingness to learn first-hand the important issues and challenges that Principals face.
